About the Author
Serveta Thompson is a Black British mother of three and the founder of Ariah’s Kitchen, a brand rooted in family, culture, and connection through food. Inspired by her Jamaican heritage and childhood memories of cooking with her family, she created In Ariah’s Kitchen to pass those traditions on to the next generation in a fun and meaningful way.
As a hands-on mum, Serveta is passionate about making cooking accessible, engaging, and educational for children. Through storytelling and shared kitchen experiences, she encourages a love of reading, builds confidence, and supports early learning.
Her work celebrates Black culture while helping children develop practical life skills and create lasting family memories, one dish at a time.
