Everyone is unique—and that’s what makes us special! This book is about children who might find some things challenging, like reading, moving, or talking. But just like everyone else, they dream big, learn new things, and shine bright!

Instead of focusing on what someone can't do, this story shows us the power of celebrating what they can do. It’s all about kindness, friendship, and the importance of including everyone.

When we cheer each other on and lend a hand, we make the world a better, brighter place—because everyone has something amazing to offer!

About the Author

Tyson Joseph is a new author from Southeast London. He’s a primary school teacher, a trained youth worker, and a mentor. Tyson is also really good at playing and teaching the steel pan, an instrument that sounds amazing! He’s been working with young people for over 20 years, helping them learn and grow. In his free time, Tyson loves going to the cinema, playing music with his steel pan band, collecting trainers, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys travelling and discovering new places.

A Message from Tyson to adults and children

‘Needing a little extra help to access something doesn’t mean you should be left out. We hope that one day the world will understand what’s needed to give everyone the support they deserve. Be proud of who you are—whether you have autism, dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, or any other difference. These things are part of what makes you, you—and you’re amazing just as you are. You are loved and appreciated!’

Another Message from Tyson

‘I wrote this book to encourage anyone living with a disability or additional needs, and to educate those who may not understand the lack of accessibility many people are forced to face. Not all needs are visible, but the lack of support is very real. Regardless of our needs or the support we require, we are all human, and we need to love and care for each other, showing more understanding and compassion. We all have thoughts, feelings, and perspectives, and you never know what someone else is going through. For those of you living with disabilities or additional needs, remember: that is not all you are. You are so much more than that. Believe that you can achieve anything—because you can. Society must learn how to effectively accommodate and support all types of disabilities and allow everyone the opportunity to access the things they wish to.
